About Our Bags
Are your bags made from real leather?
Yes, always. Every AYS bag is made from genuine leather — including full-grain cowhide, wax pull-up leather, and calf leather. We never use PU, vegan leather, or synthetic substitutes. Real leather only.
What types of leather do you use?
- Full-Grain Leather — the highest quality, most durable leather. Develops a rich patina over time.
- Wax Pull-Up Leather — treated with wax oils for a beautiful distressed look that deepens with use.
- Genuine Cowhide — natural texture, strong and long-lasting with a classic look.
Where are AYS bags designed?
AYS Bags are designed in Canada, inspired by Canadian landscapes, seasons, and the style of the women who wear them.
Will my bag look exactly like the photos?
Because we use real leather, each bag carries its own natural markings, grain variations, and character. Minor differences from photos are part of what makes your bag uniquely yours.

How do I know which bag size is right for me?
Each product page includes detailed dimensions. As a general guide:

- Tote bags — great for work, errands, or travel with more to carry
- Backpacks — hands-free comfort for commuters and travellers

Are the straps adjustable?
Most of our bags feature adjustable straps. Check the individual product listing for specific strap details.
Leather Care
How do I care for my AYS leather bag?
- Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth — avoid soaking the leather
- Apply a leather conditioner every few months to keep it supple
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
- Use a dust bag or pillowcase when storing long-term
- Avoid prolonged exposure to rain — if it gets wet, pat dry and let it air dry naturally
Will the leather change over time?
Yes — and that's a feature, not a flaw. Genuine leather develops a patina with use, becoming richer and more beautiful over time. Your AYS bag will age with you.

How long will my order take to arrive?
- Canada: 5–8 business days (standard)
- USA: 7–12 business days
- Orders are processed within 1–2 business days of purchase
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! We offer free standard shipping on all Canadian orders over $150 CAD.
Can I track my order?
Absolutely. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?

What if my bag arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos at hello@aysaccessories.com and we'll make it right immediately.
